FAQs

  • Dr. McCampbell is not in-network with any health insurance providers. You may be able to get a portion of your visit reimbursed from your insurance company. In addition, you may be able to use your flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) to pay for services, but please verify this through your company's benefits department.

We recommend that you contact your insurance company before your first visit with Dr. McCampbell. The contact number is usually on the back of your insurance card. When you make that call, we recommend that you ask the following questions:

Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?

Do I have a deductible for mental health services and if so, how much?

At what rate will I be reimbursed for mental health services (the usual range is 50% to 80%)?

    What is your claims address?

How do I submit a claim?

You also may want to ask to what extent your health insurance plan reimburses for the following common psychological services:

CPT CODE: 90837 (60 Minute Individual Psychotherapy)

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your

    mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have

insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for

    medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of

any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a

Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you

can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith

    Estimate.
